Bishop Jack Barnett jr. was raised and inspired by his mother, Eddie Mae Dalton, a powerfully anointed intercessor and pastor. Being called to the office of Pastor himself, Bishop Barnett was encouraged and nurtured by many other Pastors to walk in his calling.
Early on Bishop Barnett was called to pastor Faith Refuge Ministries; it was in this ministry that Bishop Barnett began to assist pastors in church planting and church organization.
Bishop Jack Barnett Jr. founded The Bibleway Outreach Full Gospel Church in 1991, now known as Bibleway Mountain Moving Faith Ministries where he currently serves as pastor and Bishop. Bishop Barnett saw the need to assist and support new ministries therefore, the Assemblies of Bibleway Churches was founded in 1999.
In an ongoing pursuit of higher education, Bishop Barnett attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma specializing in pastoral counseling.
Bishop Barnett did not limit his pastoral counseling to churches or his congregation, but reached out to the community of Detroit. Serving in the Detroit Police Department Chaplain Corps Bishop Barnett assisted and mentored police officers and those in crisis. Having faithfully served on in the Chaplain Corps for over 25 years, Bishop Barnett was elevated to the position of Chief Chaplain in 2007. He was responsible for implementing many programs to spiritually address the needs of the Detroit Police Department, supporting the families of police officers and serving metropolitan Detroit.
Serving in ministry for over 30 years, Bishop Barnett has a heart for the lost, the oppressed, and those that are bound by infirmity. A teacher of sound doctrine, Bishop Barnett operates in the gifts of the Spirit, including prophecy, the discerning of spirits, healing, the word of knowledge and the working of miracles. Bishop Barnett seeks to help the poor and disadvantaged by implementing outreach programs to serve the homeless in the metropolitan Detroit area.
Bishop Barnett has been married to his wife Elizabeth for over 40 years, and father to three children.
